We are pleased that you are interested in the Marx Bros. Café and Catering.  As one of Anchorage’s premiere full service caterers, we are prepared to serve your special needs.  We offer a wide variety of catering services including wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, cocktail parties, buffet & sit-down dinners for both remote site catering and at the Anchorage Museum of History & Art.  We will provide professional consultation and a proposal with estimated expenses for all your events.  This guide will outline the services we offer and assist you in planning your event.

 

MINIMUMS

Full service catering requires a minimum food purchase of $500.00 for off site events. Events at the Anchorage Museum require a minimum sale of $1000.00 per event.  In December, off site catering require a minimum of 1000.00 per event.

All servers and bartenders are billed at 20 per hour, chefs at 25 per hour with a 4-hour minimum. An 18% service charge will be added to the bill.

 

GUARANTEE

All proposals are priced based upon the number of guests that are guaranteed to attend.  It is necessary to have a minimum count 2 weeks before the event.  Additional guests may be added up to 10 days prior to the event.  The final guaranteed number will be charged.

Balance due within three days following the event.  Notice of cancellation must be received in writing no later than 21 days prior to the date of the event. Notices received less than 21 days prior to the date of the event may result in forfeiture of all or part of the deposit.

REQUIREMENTS

A 50% deposit based on the estimated total and a signed contract are both required to confirm your event. 

 

 

HORS D’OEUVRE PACKAGE

Hors d’oeuvres may be served as a starter or as the main meal.

 If being served as a main meal, we suggest you choose between
6 - 8 menu items for groups of less than 100. 

For 100 or more, we suggest 7 - 10 menu items.
